Rules

By registering in JEDI Lab's participant pool, you accept the following basic rules of conduct:

  • You can only register once in the database. Registering multiple accounts undermines scientific research.

  • If you receive an invitation e-mail for an experiment and would like to participate in it, you sign up using the link provided in the e-mail. If you have signed up for an experiment but can no longer participate, please contact us as soon as possible so that we can give your space to someone else. You cannot cancel on your own in the system.

  • Participants will usually be compensated based on the decisions they make during the experiment. The amount varies between different experiments.

  • Participants who have signed up for an experiment but who do not show up at the scheduled time will not receive any compensation for that experiment. Participants who have more than two "no-shows" will be removed from the database.

Privacy policy
By registering in JEDI Lab's participant pool, you accept the following privacy policy:
  • When you register in the participant pool, you need to give us some personal details. These include your name and e-mail address and, optionally, your phone number, gender, beginning of studies and field of study. Information about which experiments you sign up for and participate in (including time and date) is also stored. We use these details solely to organize our experiments. The information is stored indefinitely.

  • You can unsubscribe from our register at any time using the unsubscribe button on your account profile (accessible via invitation email). Unsubscribing from the register means that we will not contact you again. Via the same link you can also view and edit your personal data.

  • Unsubscribing does not permanently erase your personal data from our register. If you wish to permanently delete your personal data, please send a formal request to jedilab@iei.liu.se

  • Data that we store in the participant pool is used solely for participant recruitment purposes and is not connected to the data that we record during an experiment. In most cases, the data we record during an experiment are anonymous data about the decisions that you make during the experiment. We use these data for our scientific work, which we aim to publish in scientific journals and present at scientific conferences. Results are presented on group level, meaning that it is not possible to identify individual participants.

Do you agree with the rules outlined above?
